An Employment Portfolio is simply a place to organize information about yourself: your skills and abilities, your jobs, your education and training, your strengths, values, and qualities.

Get yourself a folder and put the following list on the outside. As you put documents into your folder, check it off. (printable version)

______ Build your Network (ongoing!) ______ Resume ______ Copy of Cover letters sent ______ List of References ______ Copy of Social Security Card ______ Copy of Birth Certificate ______ Interest Profiler (O’Net, Countdown, CDM) ______ Work Permit (from school district where you live) ______ I-9 & W-4 (These are forms that are completed when you're hired- ask for help so that you know what they are.) ______ Copies of Certificates of Achievements (i.e. CPR, Lifeguard, babysitting, Mediation, HIPP, ServeSafe, degrees and diplomas)
