Were you on time? Did you shake hands? Were you clean? (hair, breath, clothes, shoes) Was your clothing appropriate? Was your overall appearance appropriate? Did you refrain from eating, smoking or chewing gum/tobacco during the interview? Did you convey a positive attitude? Did you speak slowly, loudly and clearly enough? Did you use good grammar? Did you answer questions with more than one word? Did you have all the paperwork you needed? Did you thank the interviewer for their time?

| If you can answer Yes to all these questions, you’ve done well! If you answered No to any of these questions, work on those areas for the next interview. Interview skills are great skills to work on. It's not unheard of for people to go to an interview just to practice. They might know well in advance that they won't take the job if offered. |
